Due to an exciting new product that we have been on the cutting edge of developing, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team.As a Business Development Manager, your immediate task will be to absorb as much as you can about our products & procedures by starting out in our logistics department. From there, you will be in charge of building strategic relationships between our large primary resource manufacturers and our long-term customers. Because of our well-known reputation in the market and demand for product, you will see immediate success in this role due to the high percentage of inbound quotes that need to turn into orders.Affiliated Resources recently joined the Forest City Trading Group a $5B employee owned company that is a significant player in the lumber, steel and building products industries. We are a company that values culture, innovation, hard work and we look forward to our continued growth and success!This is an in-office positionEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Gain full process knowledge of ARI acknowledgements, purchase orders, freight dispatches and procedures.Follow up on orders and work with logistics and trucking companies to ensure products are shipped and delivered on timeKnowledge of division products; ability to adequately evaluate customer needs as well as to explain and recommend proper solutionsPerform takeoffs and generate lists of materials from drawings or customer supplied listsParticipate in industry events and/or trade shows when requiredGenerate revenue and sales growth consistent with division and company goalsExecute a growth plan through prospecting, customer acquisition and development in addition to current customer managementParticipate in new product research and developmentNew business development and account managementSkills, Expertise and Qualifications:2 5 years of sales experience, industrial or technical sales experience preferredPossesses a strong technical aptitudeAutoCAD Experience or strong knowledge of AutoCADDetail-oriented, motivated and results drivenAbility to manage multiple complex tasks concurrentlyAbility to be flexible and work independently and in a team environmentWillingness to be hands on with technical product and installation detailsAbility to read and comprehend construction/architecture drawingsExcellent communication skills
