Barilla America NY, Inc.

(BANY) is seeking a Recruitment and Retention Specialist within the Supply Chain Unit to be based out of its Avon, NY manufacturing location.

This position will report to the Human Capital Manager.

Key Accountabilities:Determine specific requirements of positions and build relationships with hiring managers to understand their needs.Coordinate all recruiting efforts for open positions at the Avon plant (primarily hourly manufacturing positions).Prescreen, Interview, and assess potential candidates.Recommend creative hiring solutions to managers.Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, job boards and organizing job fairs.Utilize social media platforms to attract candidates.Prepare timely recruiting activity reports.Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews.Communicate organization attractiveness by focusing on culture, diversity, policies, compensation and benefits.Prepare all recruitment materials such as advertisements.Coordinates and organizes new hire onboarding with new hires and department managers.Maintains all employee files.Tracks and reports all training hours and completes monthly reports.Responsible for the LMS system.Build strong working relationships with all employees.Coordinates community outreach activities.Backup for Avon Plant PayrollWorks with area supervisors to asses needs for team building events, organizes and facilitates events.Comply with the environmental policies and procedures at the facility including energy efficiency, reduce – re-use – recycle goals, reporting requirements and sustainable initiatives.

Complete any environmental tasks as assigned and report environmental concerns immediately.

Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field or equivalent experience in Human Resources, with recruitment focus, is required.Knowledge and experience in the use of communication strategies and social media platforms is required.Working knowledge of employment law is required.A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.Effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to write, review, and edit materials for various audiences.Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and with co-workers, leadership, and external contacts.Ability to accurately and efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changes in responsibilities and workloads.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and GMP’s preferred.Knowledge of ISO22000, FSMA, HACCP and appropriate supporting programs (e.G.

cleaning, sanitation, pest management, etc.) is preferred.
