Benefit and Human Resources Administrator

This is a Contract position in Plainville, MA posted November 8, 2019.

Hilco Vision is seeking a Benefits and Human Resources Administrator to join the Human Resources team to support departmental and company goals.

The position will have a split focus of about 50% benefits administration and 50% general HR activities.

The ideal candidate will help to implement HR policies, procedures, and processes along with holding responsibility for group benefits administration; coordination of leaves of absence and process claims/requests.

The successful candidate will also provide coaching to staff and management throughout various U.S.

locations to drive positive employee relations and will be responsible for conducting new hire onboarding and assimilation.

If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you A Little Bit About You: You have at least BS degree paired with 2-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.

You are committed to the highest level of confidentiality, have sound judgement, and are able to handle sensitive and confidential information with poise and professionalism.

You have solid understanding and experience with group benefits administration, HR compliance, labor laws, and in conducting workplace investigations.

You have experience working within an HRIS system (UltiPro preferred), and are able to assist employees with basic system issues.

With superior written and verbal communication skills, you have the ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels.

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Understanding the organization is key, you’re able to effectively manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously, and can switch gears in responding to rapidly changing organizational needs.

Well versed in employment laws and regulations, you stay current on and have solid working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, FMLA, COBRA, Workers Compensation, EEOC, OSHA Compliance and the reporting of workplace injuries.

The Nitty Gritty: Support the HR department in implementing and administering programs to help improve the employee experience.

Assist in development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and coordinates, oversees and implements projects as directed.

Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions, coaching and counseling managers and employees.

Manage employee relations issues from beginning to end, including partnering with employees on performance improvement plans, investigating complaints, issuing performance warnings, and managing terminations.

Administer and communicate employee benefits plans and programs; manage enrollments and eligibility issues; maintain benefit broker/vendor relationships; manage annual open enrollment initiatives.

Assist with Form 5500 prep and auditing.

Coordinate and deliver new hire onboarding and orientation sessions; own coordination and scheduling of company-wide events (wellness, group trainings, annual functions).

Perform file maintenance, data entry, and general administrative support tasks for the department including preparing letters, filing, etc.
