JOB SUMMARY The human resource assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Handles employment application intake.Performs data entry and personnel file maintenance via email.Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.Assists with new-employee orientations.Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.Prepares job postings.Assists the manager with HR projects.Assists with new hires.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)Administrative experienceScheduling meetings or appointmentsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, and Outlook.Must be well organized and a self-starterAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to work with a sense of pride and urgency and to adapt and be flexible as priorities change PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degreePrevious HR experiencePrevious knowledge of ADP WORK ENVIRONMENT:This job operates in a professional office environment.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This job operates also in a manufacturing environment with loud noise and dust and must follows all safety measures, including wear of steal toe shoes, safety glasses, safety vest and hard hat.
