As an intern you will directly assist the Human Resources team with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, onboarding/orientation, and employee benefits.

This position will allow you to gain a better understanding of the role that Human Resources can play and be better prepared to work in the arena of Human Resources.Estimated start date: The intended start date for this internship is within the first week(s) of 2022.

Responsibilities: Assist with recruitment (scheduling of drug testing and background checks, respond to inquiries).Schedule interviews/coordinate travel for candidatesCreate new hire packets.Conduct weekly new hire orientation, support new employees through the on-boarding process, and administer tours.Maintain filing.Assist with process of monthly benefits billing.Respond to all employment and unemployment verifications in a timely manner.Assist with maintaining current organizational charts.Create reports as needed for external locations.Order business cardsPerform miscellaneous office duties (answering phones, coordinating meetings, etc.).Assist in planning/logistics of Employment Reward & Recognition ProgramsProcess and tracks progress of candidate background checks and communicates results as appropriateEnsure accuracy and completeness of all new hire paperwork, as well as properly maintaining employment filesResponsible for Corporate Human Resources projects as assigned, including Berry University and Diamond Days.Responsible for maintaining positive, professional relationships.Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism is maintained when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.Participate and assist with career fairsResponsible for issuing badges and granting access to the facility Qualifications: Currently College Sophomore/Junior level pursuing Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related fieldAbility to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailProficient computer skillsCooperative attitude with team-oriented dispositionFlexible schedule and ability to work extra hours as neededThis position will require a minimum of 20 hours per week and has the ability to work throughout the school year
