Responsibilities: Our Cybersecurity consultants are a team of business integrators with extensive consulting and industry experience who help our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy through execution.

A Cybersecurity Consultant will provide the opportunity to grow and contribute to our clients’ business issues every day, applying a collection of security spectrum capabilities including cyber strategy and governance, IT risk, security technologies, cybercrime and breach response.

This position offers the opportunity to engage with cross functional cybersecurity teams focused on high-end professional services to bring innovative ideas and solutions for Guidehouse clients.Guidehouse is seeking a Cybersecurity Policy Analyst to support cybersecurity initiatives for the Department of State (DOS).

This position will be responsible for development of organizational security policies and procedures.

The candidate must also be well versed with Information Technology (IT) security, to ensure compliance with Federal standards, policy, and regulations.

Additionally, the candidate shall be able to work with stakeholders in functional and technical arenas in support of IT security priorities.

The individual should have strong verbal and written communication skills and be willing to take initiative in a dynamic, collaborative, and client-facing environment.

Familiarized in the areas of Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Training, Vulnerability Management, Privacy, and Security Policy Management.Job Description/Responsibilities:Plan, develop, and assist in the coordination and communication of new policies, strategies, and procedures relevant to the implementation of security guidance and solutions.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop guidance and capture roles and responsibilities.Review and consolidate cybersecurity policies in accordance with client requirements.Verify policies, strategies, and procedures comply with DOS Foreign Affairs Manual and Intelligence Community Directives.Provide formal responses to federal audits and assessments.Consistently deliver high-quality services and deliverables to clients.

Qualifications: Required:At minimum a Secret clearanceSecurity certification; equivalent or higherBS/BA degree and 3-5 years of experience (or 2-4 with an MS/MA degree) in supporting large cybersecurity programsDemonstrated knowledge and experience documenting and applying CS governance and risk management best practices, policies, strategies, and proceduresExperience and knowledge of responding to federal audits and reviews (e.g., Office of the Inspector General)Demonstrated ability to apply fundamental cybersecurity concepts to tasks and projectsAbility to effectively communicate with senior government clients, participate in and lead discussions, confidently discuss project status, and propose relevant and effective solutionsDeep understanding of compliance requirements, standards, and guidelines governing security within the Federal Government (e.g., NIST publications, FISMA, ICDs, and Department memoranda),Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skillsPreferred:Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Certified in Risk and Information System Control (CRISC) Additional Requirements: This position may require travelThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.Due to our contractual requirements and federal orders, including an Executive Order from the White House and anemergency regulation from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the position for which you are applying requires thatyou provide proof of your vaccination status.
