Job Title Data Protection Policy Governance Consultant Location Remote Type 6 month Contract Bottom Line In a Nutshell Strong understanding of Data Governance and Data Protection tools (i.e. Semantic DLP, Proofpoint, etc.) Strong understanding of what tools need to be documented, the classifications of data, etc. 3-5+ years’ experience working with Policies, Procedures, Standards Governance Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal Description Support implementation of data privacy compliance processes, risk management and control implementation efforts, including data inventory and mapping tasks Establishing data standards and processesworkflows, providing recommendations for privacy and data governance programs, processes and controls and supporting data breach response planning and playbook development Generate ideas to identify new andor implement changes to techniques (policies, procedures, KPIs, KRIs, tools, etc.) and processes for the cybersecurity practice to remain relevant (changing risk and threat landscape and business requirements, etc.) Demonstrate awareness of all information security trends, vulnerabilities, including and especially those influencing Data Protection and Privacy Required Experience Minimum Experience 3-5+ years’ experience in Cyber or IT-related field Minimum Degree Required Bachelor’s Degree Experience in Data Protection (Security, Governance and Privacy) Provide subject matter expertise on Information Security policies, standards, and guidelines. Strong written documentation experience with development of policies, standards, and other data privacy guidance documents Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, HPAA, CCPA, etc.) and compliance Support and lead the execution of privacy impact and maturity assessments and risk assessments Work collaboratively with internal team members and external client stakeholders to deliver high-quality work product Certification in a security or privacy domain (i.e. CISSP, CIPP, CIPT, CIPM) Desired Experience Knowledge of data protection and privacy enabling technologies and IT security tools (e.g. Proofpoint, Semantic DLP, OneTrust, Microsoft Compliance or Information Protection) Expertise to conceptualize and develop Data Protection solutions to address customer’s data and security needs. Relevant experience in professional consulting services, solution engineering, and technical consulting Cloud security technology knowledge or certification (e.g. CCSK)
