Ideal Image is seeking an experienced Director, HR Employee Relations, who can effectively interact and communicate with business leaders at all levels and works effectively across multiple states and multiple locations in a high growth and fast paced environment.

The Director is a self-motivated and directed, trusted advisor who operates with a high level of integrity and can gain the trust of stakeholders across the business.

You will lead and serve as a subject matter expert on employee relations matters, across the Company (Field and Corporate).

You will manage investigations on complex workplace issues and provide recommendations based on their conclusion.

Responsibilities

Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead and oversee HRBP’s responsible for employee relations, compliance and human resources activities in support of all Field and Corporate Functions.

Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.

Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.

Enable organizational capability through day-to-day performance management guidance to Field and Corporate management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, etc.).

Provide guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning within the approved guidelines of Company staffing models.

Assist in the development and deployment of HR policies and programs and provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.

Maintain current knowledge of state work rules, including California, (OT, meals, lunch breaks, etc.) and ensure Clinic compliance.

Possesses strong knowledge and experience in leading compliance efforts related to California law.

Act as a resource and subject matter expert for UltiPro; Assist with providing communication for roll-out of new UltiPro functionality as necessary.

Ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel, to support Clinics as needed Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or another related field, required.

SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of 7 years’ experience as an HRBP or HR Generalist in a multi-state, multi-site organization.

7+ years of experience in employee relations, employment law/compliance and leadership development.

Extensive experience providing support to a remote / virtual employee base (Sales or Medical Preferred).

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, including and specifically California law.

Comprehensive working knowledge of Federal and State employment laws, including California.

Working knowledge of Kronos and Ulti Pro is strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Kronos and UltiPro, Preferred Possesses strong knowledge and experience in leading compliance efforts related to California law.

Professional certifications in Human Resources and/or California law are required.

Special Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and plan, develop and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated passion for employee relations, investigations, and labor/employment law.

Solid understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws, including California.

Ability to handle multiple investigations and projects simultaneously.

Ability to exercise keen judgment when analyzing and resolving employment issues.
