We are looking for a Director of HR to join the Bridgewest Group!

Working closely with the multiple organizations across the Bridgewest Group, you’ll align our people strategy to help the business achieve strategic and operational objectives.

What You’ll Do The Director of Human Resources will serve as the sole point person to the Group’s asset management team and several portfolio companies for full spectrum HR support including but not limited to; talent acquisition and management, succession planning, employee and labor relations, benefits and wellness, compensation, performance management, employee development, human resources information systems, operation, culture initiatives, HR counsel, visa sponsorship case administration and evaluation of the human resources.

This candidate will work closely with executive leadership to help build our growing organization.

Develop, propose, publish, make recommendations, implement, and consistently administer human resources policies, programs, practices, and procedures.

Work closely with all levels of organization management relative to personnel related matters, internal investigations, and employee conflict resolution.

Consult with legal counsel on required matters as warranted.

Communicates to all levels of the organization via verbal or written form changes, developments, or responses relative to human resources policies, programs, practices, and procedures.

Attend employee communication, functional, and team meetings to communicate company initiatives related to a breadth of human resources matters.

Design, develop, and implement training and organizational development initiatives from both internal and external sources to ensure human resources best practices.

Coordinate both training and development opportunities with respect to organizational demands and needs.

Fulfill all organization staffing requirements as necessary via active involvement in recruiting, job fairs, and hiring process or delegation to available staff for specified position openings.

Monitor and recommend placement of candidates to acquire exceptional talent and maintain employer of choice status within competitive labor market.

Monitor all workers’ compensation claims management initiatives to ensure excellence in safety performance and claims resolution to mitigate organization exposure to associated costs.

Assist, communicate, monitor, and make recommendations for the review, preparation, and administration of performance evaluation as well as organization wage and salary programs.

Actively participate in employee/community activity development and implementation.

Responsible for appropriate selection, termination, performance appraisal, and professional development of assigned staff.

Desired Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field 8+ years experience in a progressively growing HR leadership role with proven success in building relations and influencing leaders on the full spectrum of HR offerings Extensive working knowledge of federal and CA labor and employment law required.

Experience partnering with international employment counsel a plus Proven, trusted business partner to senior executives who you have supported in past roles Experience with performance management, organizational design, recruitment, immigration, employee relations/coaching, compensation, benefits, and employee communications Ability to creatively develop and adapt HR offerings that deliver on the unique needs of the organization while avoiding unnecessary process or bureaucracy Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and communicate at all levels of the organization—someone who is a team player Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ADP Workforce Now Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines Must have excellent organizational, project management and change management skills and be able to manage multiple priorities.

Must have a strong service orientation and attention to quality and accuracy.

Strong communication skills are essential, including writing skills and the ability to draft effective employee communications.
