The Human Resource Senior Manager / Director leads a team in the delivery of HR services for the assigned client area(s).

Ensures that human resources services complement and drive organizational effectiveness in support of the Company’s business model and related client area objectives.This position reports to the Human Resources Senior Director and will office in Mont Belvieu, Texas.

The position will lead and coach a team of HR professionals and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in general HR matters, including Employee Relations, Management Development, Human Resources Compliance, Workforce Planning, and Onboarding.

This role will work collaboratively with HR SMEs in Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and peers and colleagues within the Company’s HR Department, as well as representatives from Corporate Security and Risk Management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead the implementation of Company HR strategies, programs, and policies within business area.Support management by providing human resources direction, advice and counsel.Coordinate with HR and client leadership to communicate and implement human resources programs that support Company and local business goals and drive results.Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their personnel responsibilities.Advise managers on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.Communicate changes in the organization’s personnel policies and procedures and ensure that proper compliance is followed.Provide training to management on applicable policies, procedures and processes to ensure management is able to function autonomously in compliance with human resources-related guidelines, regulations and laws and related Company policies and procedures.Provide employee relations-related support and perform duties related to conflict and dispute resolution, HR-related investigations and disciplinary actions, terminations and evaluations, and interpretation of applicable procedures, laws, regulations and Company policies and procedures.Recommend, evaluate and participate in staff development for the assigned client area(s) and organization as a whole.Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws plus applicable community policies and procedures.

Coach, mentor and develop HR team members.Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure organization’s compliance.Other duties as assigned.The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field is required.

Master’s degree and/or recognized HR certifications preferred.10 years of work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience.

Experience supporting a manufacturing-type organization, with both professional and hourly/shift personnel strongly preferred.

Demonstrated experience with employee investigations and documentation and delivering employee relations-related programs and practices.

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

Proficient with MS Office.

Less than 25% travel required.

Occasional overnight travel as needed for job-related responsibilities.

Self-motivated; able to work effectively without daily supervision Ability to align with and support the local business leadership team while remaining an objective member of the HR leadership team.

Ability to demonstrate ownership and accountability of Company HR programs and strategies and effectively communicate and implement them with local leadership.

Ability to understand Company and local business strategies and priorities and identify and recommend complementary HR processes and programs.

Proven ability to make decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgment.

Able to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and develop realistic action plans for self and team.

Able to communicate clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrate group presentation skills, and able to conduct efficient and effective meeting.

Exhibit a collaborative decision making and work style; strong interpersonal, organizational and presentation/facilitation skills.

Hands-on project leader that can shift between strategy and implementation.

Strong employee-relations skill set; can earn trust and credibility with employees in assigned groups.

Open and easily approachable.

Able to identify roadblocks to success and craft effective solutions for a path forward.
