Position Title: RecruiterDepartment: Human ResourcesReports to: Human Resources DirectorStatus: Non-ExemptGENERAL SUMMARY:The Entry Level Recruiter sources, recruits and organizes interviews for candidates for direct labor, administrative and professional positions without the assistance of outside agencies. Drives the recruiting process from requisition to closure in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining compliance of the Affirmative Action Plan. Develops bench strength to meet current and projected employment needs. Maintains proactive methods of revising and implementing innovative ways of updating the recruiting process. Assists as needed with day-to-day HR tasks including, but not limited to, benefit coordination, employee relations, staff and management team training and development, compensation administration, retention, compliance, and the administration of Human Resources policies, procedures, and program such as recognition programs. Provide assistance and leadership in the design and implementation of new programs and in the analysis and enhancement of existing programs.JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:* Responsible for all or part of these areas: recruiting and staffing, administration and compliance to Affirmative Action Plan, employee orientation and training; policy development and documentation; employee relations; compensation and benefits administration; employee safety and workers compensation administration, wellness, and health; and employee services and counseling.* Responsible for the internal job posting process and works with supervisors to select most qualified candidate.* Develop and maintain relationship with employment agencies, universities, and other recruitment sources.* Process job requisitions and job descriptions in compliance with Affirmative Action Plan and to include approval at the Executive Level.* Meets with hiring managers to evaluate and understand open positions.* Sources candidates, reviews applications/resumes, evaluates applicant qualifications, conducts interviews, makes recommendations, schedules background checks and pre-employment drug screens and confirm offers.* Conduct onboarding/orientation sessions for new employees to explain personnel policies, compensation philosophies, and benefit programs.* Responsible for hiring metrics and process improvements as they relate to recruiting and turnover at SMI.* Attends local job fairs and represents Sunshine Minting in the community.* Assists the HR Generalist in Las Vegas as needed with recruiting.* Cross trains with HR Generalist in Coeur d’Alene and assists with HR tasks as needed.* Partners with the HR Team and Director on special projects and other assignments.* Recommends, develops, and maintains employment policies and procedures.* Develops and recommends operating policy and procedural improvements.* Performs specific research/investigation into operational issues, as requested.* Responds to inquiries on positions available in employment.* Generates correspondence utilizing knowledge of ?Microsoft Word and Excel.* Ensure a safe work environment.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:* Prior experience recruiting for a manufacturing company.* Ability to understand the manufacturing jobs to successfully identify the right applicants for consideration.* Must be able to work closely with the manufacturing operations team to determine and understand needs.* Knowledge of federal and state civil rights laws, statutes and regulations.* Knowledge of current social, economic and related areas pertaining to the field of human resources.* Knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration.* Ability to interpret, explain and apply Federal, State and Local statutes and regulations.* Ability to evaluate programs and services for compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and policies, and to make recommendations for improvement.* Ability to operate a personal computer/computer terminal and other standard office equipment.* Ability to plan, schedule and perform work under limited supervision.* Strong writing, mathematical and computer skills required* Ability to successfully deal with multiple competing priorities.* Ability to multitask and able to set priorities and meet agreed upon deadlines.* Good interpersonal skills/communication both written and verbal.* Ability to establish effective relationships with other management staff, employees and customers.* Ability to perform his/her duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.SPECIAL CONDITIONS:* Must be able to lift 35 lbs.* Must be able to stand, sit, walk, push, pull or bend as needed.* Must be able to wear all or any required protective safety equipment.* Must be able to provide reliable attendance, employee must be able to be at work on time and be ready to work at start of shift each day.* Must be able to work weekends, rotating schedules and extended shifts if needed.* Must be bondable.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience recruiting within a manufacturing environment. HR Certification preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENT:As an employee you may be required to work in cool to extremely hot environments. There is potential for exposure to fuels, oils, cleaning solvents and fumes from machinery.
