ERP Sr. Project Manager- Human Resource Job Description We are hiring a IS ERP Sr. Project Manager- Human Resource to work in the Technology Capital Operating department at UChicago Medicine. Job Summary The University of Chicago Medical Center is implementing Oracle Cloud as its ERP platform for Human Resource. The Senior Project Manager manages the entire ERP project work stream for the Human Resources functional area. The Senior PM will work closely with stakeholders and team members of their respective functional area, the ERP project team and IS team to ensure that all ERP system changes within their respective functional area are identified, planned, executed, tested and implemented on time, within budget and with a high degree of quality throughout. The Senior PM will perform all core project manager duties and tasks, including: – Planning (Initiation and Definition) – creates and manages all components of the initiation phase; including but not limited to planning, project estimation, schedules and budgets, project kickoff, stakeholder identification and analysis, risk assessment, schedule creation, budget creation and resource planning. – Project Execution (Design, Build, Test/Train, Go Live) – manages all components and deliverables of project execution including but not limited to solution design, implementation, test planning and execution, training planning and execution, cutover and go-live. – Monitoring and Control – Drives resolution of all project risks, action items, status reporting, scope and schedule, financial and budget establishment and reporting, meeting facilitation, vendor engagement, change management, and project resources. – Project Closure – manages all components of project closure including production turnover, lessons learned, and overall close out. – Maintains and uses the PMO and Portfolio management tools and artifacts to track, manage and report status of projects Core Competencies – Critical thinking, analytical ability and problem solving – Communication and collaboration with diverse audiences so that information is credible, digestible and easily understood. Solid interpersonal skills. – Proficient in analyzing business functions, procedures, and information flows – Ability to facilitate multiple disciplines in the design and development of business processes – Effective management skills, analytical skills, initiative and judgment required – Ability to identify, analyze, solve problems and focus on results through positive interactions – Ability to independently establish priorities and drive for results – Strong oral and written communications – Effectively leads team and manages interpersonal relationships and team dynamics – Attention to detail, the ability to organize and delegate tasks and the ability to coordinate projects Required Qualifications – PMP certification or comparable formal project management training – Minimum of 5 years project management experience – Deep and broad process knowledge of respective functional area and/or integrated health care systems, technologies and platforms – Experience with complex enterprise system implementation and integration – Solid understanding of financial management – Competence applying project management tools, preferably MS Project and Eclipse – Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business or health care field.
