F.H Furr is a residential plumbing, HVAC, and electrical contractor that services Northern Virginia, the neighboring counties in Maryland, and Washington D.C.

We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team and work out of our headquarters located in Manassas, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Responsible for all aspects related to the hiring of employees (i.E., advertisements, job postings, recruiting, interviewing, processing transfers, orientation etc.)Responsible for all internal associate transactions & processes (i.E., promotion, transfer, performance review, termination etc.)Employee relations; resolves issues as theyariseConduct all benefit orientations and 401K enrollment meetingsEnsure all employee evaluations are completed in an accurate and timely mannerEnsure compliance with all applicable employment practices and proceduresInvestigate and manage worker’s compensation claimsRepresent the HR department in a professional and respectful manner and maintain an open-door policy.Ensure employee compliance with HR policies and proceduresUpdate and submit required reports in a timely mannerParticipate in and monitor orientation and training programsEnsure managers are using positive coaching, counseling, and discipline to address issues/concernsPrepare and maintain accurate records, files, and reports, including responsibility for maintaining personnel recordsOrganize and work independently on multiple assigned tasks/projects and complete assignments within specified deadlinesDevelop and monitor recruitment resourcesDemonstrate effectiveness in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems, as necessaryServe as a key point of contact for employees and as a “switchboard” to direct them to the resources they need and eliminate redundancyDevelop/improve upon our existing policies to ensure the safety, welfare, and wellness of our employees, and communicate those policies to our employeesEnsure that our company’s HR policies are compliant with regulatory/reporting requirementsChampion diversity, equality, and inclusion initiatives Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s DegreeMinimum of ten years of overall Human Resources leadership experienceExcellent listening, speaking, and writing skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel/Office skills; extremely computer proficientConfidentiality and discretion are non-negotiablesAbility to handle a wide variety of assignments including email correspondence, project management and telephone communicationsOccasional travel to interface with staff and attend conferences/training related to the job Benefits:Company-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(K) with a company matchCompany-paid Long Term Disability InsuranceCompany-paid life insurance policyShort term disability and voluntary life insurancePaid Vacations, Holidays, and Sick days
