It all starts with our purpose and then, The Five Below Way, which is our values and behaviors that each and every associate believes in.It’s all about culture at Five Below, making this a place that can inspire you as much as you inspire us with big ideas, super energy, passion, and the ability to make the workplace a WOWplace!Job Responsibilities: Help drive payroll strategy to align on refining current payroll operations to ensure consistency, accuracy and best in class service to our crewCross-functional collaboration with various functions of the business (HR, Legal, Finance, Operations) for process improvements and efficienciesPerform in-depth investigations and analysis to determine the root cause of repeated problems to identify gaps and continuous improvement opportunities and initiate corrective actionsOversee and review employee action/change process (job/pay, status, location, termination, mass changes) for accuracy and efficiencyOversee/support Leave of Absence (LOA) process and compliance in support of HR CoordinatorAssist payroll manager with the weekly and bi-weekly gross to net payroll process to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance standards are being met.

Including off-cycle payroll batcheAssists with preparation of quarterly payroll tax reporting and research and resolve payroll/tax reporting issuesAssist in ad hoc projects such as documenting workflows, registering in new states for payroll taxation, improving processes/procedures and system implementationsContribute to the application and monitoring of the ADP Vantage Payroll Suite framework, principles, and delegationsSupport Payroll inbox and ticketing system for payroll issue resolution and assist with evelvated complex items that require extensive payroll knowledge such as taxation, year end reporting, wage adjustments, etc.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.5+ years of experience and CPP is highly desiredBroad knowledge of payroll principles, practices, processes and proceduresKnowledge of laws and regulations that affect payrollExperience with 3rd party vendors, in particular ADP Vantage HCM (preferred but not required)Experience or knowledge of payroll taxes and W2/W2c processing (highly preferred but not required)Experience or knowledge of garnishment review and processing (preferred but not required)Ability to support quarterly Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) review/reporting requirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, team-building, and time management skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments concurrentlyAbility to work under pressure of deadlinesJob Type: Full-timePay: From $1.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceSupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Payroll: 5 years (Required)CPP: 5 years (Required)Work Location:One location
