French bilingual Payroll specialist

Accounting Firm

This is a Full-time position in New York, NY posted November 11, 2021.

Accounting firm focused on international clientele looking for a payroll specialist for its New York offices with following experience, skills and abilities:

Outline of responsibilities:
– Preparation of semi-monthly and monthly payrolls
– Reconciliation of payroll accounts
– Preparation of payroll journal entries
– Answer clients queries on payroll related matters
– Setup clients payrolls
– Follow-up employee benefits and compensation compliance
– Assistance with various administrative functions: certified mail, copies, files maintenance, etc. in connection with clients’ payroll preparation
– Other misc. payroll and employee benefits related tasks

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
 2-3 year + of payroll administration or similar experience
 French fluency required as you will be speaking and writing in French most days
 Strong verbal and written communication skills
 Strong attention to detail and minutia
 Experience of one or several payroll systems
 Able to perform multiple and varied assignments in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
 Motivated, flexible and hard-working in order to meet client deadlines and provide excellent client service
 Excellent organization skills
 Fast learner
 Proficient in Microsoft Excel software

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
 Bachelor’s in Accounting or equivalent work experience
 Basic knowledge of individual state and federal income taxation
 Be technologically savvy
