The Client Manager is responsible for reducing year-over-year attrition within a defined portfolio of Heartland Payroll accounts, with equal weight given to the overall client count and overall margin attrition in the portfolio.

Additionally, the Client Manager will be responsible to identify cross-sell opportunities for existing clients and proactively engaging new clients in the defined portfolio.

What will you be doing?

* Develop productive working relationships with key sales leaders within a defined portfolio to identify at-risk clients to execute a mutually agreeable strategy to retain/grow accounts.* Act as a liaison between sales and payroll operations teams* Respond timely and effectively to all requests for client reviews, rate analysis, product information, account terminations, etc.

whether from sales or payroll operation teams.* Negotiation with clients to maximize margin potential* Manage client issues and communicate key feedback to sales and payroll operations* Daily monitoring of key metrics and reporting set by leadership, sales and operations to identify and address potential attrition clients* Review processes objectively to provide recommendations for process improvements to leadership, sales and operations* Capture and analyze client attrition reasons through interviewing techniques with terminating clients and develop creative solutions and/or suggestions to save clients.* Maintains outbound call volume to new and existing clients as supplemental support to sales & operations* Ability to recognize attrition triggers and can communicate those to management within the defined portfolio Additional Areas of Responsibility: * Remains current on all HPS products, services and important industry changes to appropriately assign a solution to client requests* Effectively interpret competitor statements/invoices to perform rate analysis quickly and effective* Identify new business opportunities and initiate and/or participate in business development activities What are the requirements?

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Strong business, analytic and technical aptitude* Above average execution of consultative selling techniques and negotiation skills* Exceptional basic math skills* Strategic thinking capability to provide guidance to the organization* Demonstrated skill to build and manage internal and external relationships* Excellent interpersonal and team building skills required* Ability to work under time constraints and meet schedules* Well organized and ability to multi task interacting with outside agencies, clients and staff members simultaneously Education: * Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field or equivalent sales, payroll processing, and or account management experience.* Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience Global Payments Inc.
