HR/Payroll Administrator

Duties And Responsibilities
HR
Work with the HR Manager to make informed decisions about benefits Administer on-boarding and off-boarding processes Assist with recruitment and interview processes Maintain all current and previous employee files, historical data, employee census, time off for current employees, and other spreadsheets containing employee data Work closely with two local IBEW union halls Administer all employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k and COBRA plans with brokerage support Answer all employee questions regarding benefits and employee relations Assist in the backend of employee terminations (exit interviews, distribution of final pay checks, etc.) Handle all company insurance claims, certificates and administration Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements Maintain exceptional relationships with out of office vendors Coordinate company trips, events, travel arrangements and holiday parties Schedule meetings, interviews and conferences Make photocopies, fax and file documents, prepare correspondence, and any other HR paperwork Assist HR Manager with projects and office-related tasks
Payroll
Process payroll weekly through outsourced payroll system Ensure timecards are accurate each week Process salary increases/decreases according to team-members various agreements Communicate with unions to ensure all union employees are paid according to each union’s agreement Process deductions, overpayments, weekly census of employees, time off requests, benefits, etc.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local policies and regulations Assist Senior Accountant and accounting team with administrative duties Other assigned duties as requested Assist other Sullivan Solar Power employees as needed
Requirements
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Minimum one year experience of both HR and payroll required Bachelor’s degree or above preferred.

Candidates with equal experience levels will be considered Must have experience in the use of software programs MS Word, Outlook and Excel Exceptional communication skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multi-task and work under pressure You are cautious, discreet, an ambassador for the company.
