This position is entry level but will have the opportunity for advancement as skills and experience are expanded.This position will support the Home Health and Hospice business line reporting to the HR Manager.Position Summary:Assists in the Human Resource function by providing service and direction to facility personnel on all aspects of Human Resources. Timely and accurate processing of payroll, benefits and day to day assistance with care community personnel.Essential Functions:* Because HCF exists to care for our residents, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to provide quality care and service* Leadership: Ability to take action and achieve results through others* Commitment to HCF mission, values, philosophy and Service Excellence Initiative.* Must be able to complete performance requirements independently while using good judgment as well as have the ability to harmoniously work with others* Must be able to read, write and understand the English languagePosition Responsibilities:* Must follow HCF Policies and Procedures* Must meet job related competencies as outlined in the Skills Competency Manual* Management of Workers Compensation and Unemployment Compensation claims.* Builds and maintains positive internal customer relations as well as assists LNHA with facility employee relation issues* Accurately completes and audits benefit enrollment and other misc. forms, (401k, OSHA 300, employment file)* Coordinates and participates in new and existing staff orientation* Responsible for State and Federal Criminal background checks, pre-employment drug screening and all other associated pre-employment requirements and documentation for prospective new hires/employees in compliance with both state and federal regulations* Administration and management of FMLA and other Leave of Absences* Organizes and directs employee recruiting efforts for the facility* Responsible for the bi-weekly processing of payroll* Participates in the QAPI process* Perform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and/or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Human Resource role.* Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
