HR Training Leader

SSI Technologies, LLC

This is a Contract position in Janesville, WI posted October 2, 2020.

Position Summary: Responsible for the development, coordination, administration, and documentation of training for all team members as well as providing divisional training support in other areas.

Position Requirements: 1.

Collaborates with Production Supervisors in determining specific training needs and assists in the development of a training plan, and validation of competencies for each production employee.

2.

Responsible for the development, review, and continuous improvement of all training checklists, testing, and evaluation procedures.

3.

Provides for instructional procedures or methods as appropriate for each individual’s training which may include one-one-one training, group instruction, self-study, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role play, and computer based training.

4.

Monitors and updates the Plex training module used to identify training requirements and document training history for each production employee.

5.

Develop and lead on-the-job training activities and School-to-Work initiatives, with input from the Director of Human Resources and Talent and Acquisitions Manager.

6.

Responsible for building and maintaining training structure within ERP and HRIS systems.

7.

Assist in training content identification and development.

8.

Supports the EHS Manager by scheduling and tracking job specific required safety training as well as specific safety refresher training initiatives as required.

Provides classroom forklift training and helps coordinate shop-floor forklift training and testing.

9.

Develops training initiatives in conjunction with department leaders aimed at addressing delivery, safety, quality, production reporting, and other manufacturing/departmental issues.

10.

Provides coaching and counseling for on-the-job trainers and identified production staff to assist them in improving both the content of their training material and their delivery of the training subject matter.

11.

Audits and verifies the accuracy of training records documented in Plex and updates HR/Payroll as needed to ensure compensation levels for Production team members are correct.

12.

Assists Production Supervisors in the evaluation of new and temporary Production team members to ensure we are making sound hiring/employee retention decisions.

13.

Individuals directed by management to operate a vehicle for work purposes will observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program.

14.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

15.

Support, promote, and perform in a manner consistent with continuous improvement goals and the values of SSI Technologies, Inc.

which includes following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and IS0 14001 Environmental Management Systems.

16.

All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Professional/Technical Experience, Skills and Education: 1.

Associates Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.

2.

5-10 years of training and personnel development experience, including time spent in comparable role while working in a manufacturing/production environment.

3.

Previous leadership experience, coaching, performance feedback, mentoring, etc.

4.

A proven track record of developing training material, presenting training information, and assessing the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Experience in course evaluation and ROI metrics.

5.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, with LMS experience.
