Human Resource Coordinator

In the civilian space arena, Teledyne sensors are the most advanced sensors on board the Hubble space telescope, and they are also found on board the majority of NASA space probes and ground based telescopes. In the DoD arena, Teledyne sensors are integrated into several major systems for persistent surveillance, chemical detection, and target identification, among others.

Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Scientific & Imaging is seeking a dynamic Human Resource Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations. A successful candidate will help organize and coordinate office administration and processes to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and compliance. This is a fast-paced tech company that requires someone who is organized and able to multitask on a regular basis.

The HR Coordinator will work with the HR team in performing the following duties.

  • Create new and maintain existing personnel records, filing, and auditing
  • Process all new hire and security clearance background checks
  • Assist with database administration within a variety of HR Systems
  • Assist team with coordination of employee events & engagement special projects
  • Assist with new hire on-boarding: administration and collection of new hire documents pre- and post- hire
  • Administration of Incentive and Bonus Programs
  • Assist with scheduling interviews, job postings and applicant travel
  • Coordinate Tuition Reimbursement/Assistance Programs
  • Provide support in administration of Employee Service Award Program
  • Coordinate Verifications of Employment and Unemployment claims
  • Assist in creation and auditing of job descriptions
  • Keep current with state and federal HR regulations, and Teledyne policies
  • Manage projects as assigned

Qualifications

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • All candidates must show stability, be self-motivated, extremely detailed, and personable.
  • Confidentiality in this position is a MUST.
  • Team player with good listening, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management, personnel, candidates, and customers
  • Ability to work on team projects and interact with other members of Human Resources
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in a related field and 1-3 years of directly related experience and/or training; or 3-5 years of equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with the following HR systems a PLUS: ADP (EV5), Cornerstone, Sterling and/or ICIMS
