Human Resources Assistant

This is a Contract position in Kings Mountain, NC posted June 9, 2021.

Position Overview: The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR function and support positive employee relations by taking employee questions and helping to resolve employee issues. Essential Functions: Handle administrative requests from HR staff Schedule meetings; coordinate meeting room set-up Write plant communications / bulletin board postings / posters for community events Take meeting minutes Create and Edit PowerPoint presentations Create and edit charts and graphs Assist HR Staff with projects Update COVID tracking data and community spread postings Support the I&D team (Inclusion & Diversity) by posting plant communications, designing the I&D event board, and coordinating and planning monthly I&D events Support plant recognition programs, including the E-Star program (including entering paper E-Stars into Excel, creating PowerPoint of monthly winners, and supporting events to promote participation) Schedule interviews / phone screens Filing / electronic filing Provide administrative support for Community Involvement team activities and the annual United Way campaign Other administrative and clerical duties as assigned Requires occasional work outside of standard work hours Qualifications / Specialized Knowledge: 1. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution 2. Prior experience in administrative role required 3. Prior experience supporting HR function preferred 4. Must be able to handle sensitive information confidentially 5. Good verbal and written communication skills 6. Good interpersonal skills 7. Must be reliable with good attendance 8. Able to accurately follow instructions 9. Able to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment 10. Computer literate; Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 11.
