Human Resources Business Partner

Lifebridge Health, Inc.

This is a Full-time position in Baltimore, MD posted November 22, 2021.

Summary

Responsibilities :

  • Primary Business Partner / Consultant for assigned managers and their departments.

    Departments will primarily be non-union

  • Demonstrates understanding of entity goals, initiatives, priorities and challenges
    – effectively using current HR strategies and initiatives to their greatest effect
  • Understands how client departments contribute to and supports LifeBridge Health goals and any challenges and opportunities affecting department
  • Understands the relationship between human capital and entity business outcomes; uses data and other HR tools to drive recommendations
  • Advocates for employees as appropriate to ensure consistent and fair application of policies and procedures and diversity is celebrated; impressing upon managers their role in providing a work culture which drives employee engagement 
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of all HR policies and practices with the ability to assist managers in their appropriate application 
  • Guides and advises managers to become highly effective leaders who define roles and expectations of their staff and hold them accountable.
  • Understands and maintains confidentiality.
  • Maintains availability to department employees and responds to their concerns as appropriate, coaching them to communicate effectively with their managers and/or escalating as appropriate. 
  • Represents HR at entity specific task forces, committees, initiatives and community organizations.
  • Supports entity specific special events, activities and projects as appropriate to enhance engagement. 
  • Advocates for and understands the diverse workforce
  • Able to guide non-union leaders 

Competencies: Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Skilled at coaching, consulting, conflict management, and building collaborative relationships at all organizational levels.

Strong facilitation and decision-making skills, including ability to influence, and maintain an ethical culture.

Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations with the additional understanding of when to escalate.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • 4+ years of professional HR experience
