Human Resources Coordinator


This is a Full-time position in Shawnee Mission, KS posted June 10, 2021.

Ajilon is assisting a client in Overland Park search for a new HR Coordinator to join their organization.

This position will be a key contributor to the organization’s HR department and will have a specific focus in the Benefits space.

I am searching for an up and coming HR professional with at least 1 year of HR experience who is looking for her/his next challenge.

HR Coordinator Responsibilities:
Implement human resources programs by providing human resources services, including health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, EEO compliance, and labor relations.

Complete administration of benefit programs for new hires and terminated employees.

This includes enrollments, terminations, qualifying events, and billing reconciliation.

Act as main point of contact for benefit carrier/vendor relationship.

Respond to benefit inquiries from employees on plan and policy provisions, enrollment status, and other general inquiries.

Maintain accurate records of benefits plans and employee data.

Complete annual benefit Open Enrollment process and ensure that all plan details and changes are implemented with benefit carriers.

Update HRIS / Payroll system to incorporate benefits for accurate enrollment and billing.

Act as main point of contact for carriers/vendors and HRIS and Payroll system.

Prepare a variety of reports on employee data on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and as needed basis.

Act as knowledge expert on HRIS and Payroll systems for data content and reporting.

Conduct new employee Human Resources Orientation.

Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

Assist with investigating work-related accidents and injuries, and prepare reports for insurance carrier.

Process Workers Compensation claims and maintain accurate records for reporting and personnel files.

Complete tracking and reporting for OSHA related incidents.

Conduct stay and exit interviews to collect insight and data for evaluation of trends and reasons for continued employment and/or separation notices.

Summarize data and prepare regular reports of findings and results to Human Resources management.

Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and employees.

Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.

Protect Company values by maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

Maintain compliance with Company policy as well as federal, state, and local legal requirements.

Study existing and new legislation; anticipate legislation; enforce adherence to requirements; and advise management on needed actions.

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.

Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

HR Coordinator Qualifications:
