Mid-sized manufacturing company has an immediate opening for a hands on Human Resources Director. This position will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including benefits, compensation, compliance, employee relations, payroll, recruiting, and safety for a plant with about 400 employees. This is a strong hands-on management position and requires very strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written. This position will report directly to the CFO. Responsibilities will include the following: Manage and administer all of HR / Payroll / Safety functions including but not limited to: Benefits Administration and Compensation including insurance benefits, 401k, ESOP, and compensation analysis, compliance, employee relations, payroll, recruiting and safety. This is a Direct Hire position offering a competitive salary, bonus, and excellent benefits. Job Requirements:


The ideal candidate will have solid Human Resources management experience of at least seven years in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree. SPHR or SHRM SCP certification preferred. Ability to be sensitive to different cultures.

Strong skills / experience needed for the following:

  • multitasking and time management for fast paced environment
  • negotiation and facilitation to effectively deal with conflicts and affect change
  • building relationships with all levels within the organization
  • oral and written communication skills
  • people management
  • Strong MS Excel and Access
