Their mission is to reshore the manufacture of PPE back to the USA.

The company, founded in April 2020, was in response to the pandemic.

The company will produce respiratory protection and domestic production of Nitrile Exam gloves.

A second manufacturing location will be opened within the next 12 months and it will be the largest Nitril exam factory in North America.

They are 100% funded and have begun the process to expand.

Show others you carenn nnThe Human Resource Director will be responsible for providing the strategy and support for all HR functions related to the start up a new manufacturing operation.

Provides services related to all terms of employment, benefit administration, unemployment, salary guidelines, safety, worker’s compensation, educational training, etc.

Researches, recommends and initiates programs and projects for implementation related employee documentation, administration and payroll systems, employee hiring policies and procedures as directed by and in conjunction with senior management.nn nn Experience related start-ups, building a HR department from the ground up is required.

HR related to manufacturing environment required with medical device a plus.

• Responsible for the recruitment of all hourly and non-managerial salaried employees, schedules and conducts interviews, partners with the hiring manager during the selection process and makes appropriate recommendations Conducts reference and background checks, schedules post-offer physicals and provides full orientation for new hires.nn nn
• Ensures compliance at local level with major state and federal employment and labor laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, Sexual Harassment, etc.), and provides “hands on” guidance to supervision.

Maintains all systems, records, and transactions to comply with regulatory reporting.nn nn
• Ensures appropriate employment decisions are made and maintains proper records to comply with the facility’s Affirmative Action Plan.

Develops and maintains location’s AAP under the guidance of the HR Director.nn nn
• Acts as an advisor to Plant and senior management on all employee-related matters (i.e.

recruitment, hiring, and leaves of absence, attendance, disciplinary actions and termination issues).nn nn
• Reviews all pending disciplinary actions and terminations proposed.nn nn
• Maintains good employee relations by being actively involved with employee issues to prevent any adverse actions.

Meets with employees on an individual basis to resolve concerns and otherwise provide assistance.nn nn
• Coordination of time and attendance system/labor reporting.

May approve time and attendance punches, including pay codes.nn nn
• Conveys company benefits and maintains all on-site benefit administration, and communication.nn nn
• Participates in conducting employee meetings and communicates any follow up activities to the facility’s employees.

• Reviews and recommends as necessary the hourly pay structure to ensure employees are paid fair and consistent within established pay structures.

Conducts local salary surveys to ensure the validity of our pay structure.nn nn
• Writes and updates job descriptions as necessary.nn nn
• Participates in the development of the Tactical/Strategic Plans for the departmentnn nn
• Promotes harmony in the workforce through good and open communication; fair, balanced, consistent, and respectful treatment.nn nn
• Guides supervision in maintaining discipline and ensures all disciplinary action is administered in accordance with established company procedures.nn nn
• Promotes safety through active participation and support of company safety policies and programs.nn nn
• Monitors all short-term disabilities.

Processes proper forms and actively pursues a return-to-work program in collaboration with the employee’s physician(s).nn nn
• Updates and maintains all employee training records and organizational chartsnn nn
• Ensures that all company and location policies and procedures are effectively communicated, supported and administerednn nn
• Maintains an open dialogue with Plant and senior management on issues of importance within the operationsnn nn
• B.S.

degree in Human Resources or related, certification a plus.

A minimum of 15 years of experience in Human Resource with 5 years in a leadership, supervisory role.nn nn
• Must be knowledgeable about employment laws and regulatory issues (i.e.

ADA, FMLA, EEO, AAP, etc.)nn nn
• Must have strong communication and organization skills and work well with all levels of the organization.nn nn
• Must be able to multi-task and have an attention to detail.nn nn
• Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.nn nn
• Working in a manufacturing environmentnn nn
• Experience in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) practicesnn nnPosition will be located at Corporate HQ in NYC.

Initially position be remote.
