The Human Resource Director provides leadership and generalist support for Facility Services and is responsible for providing strategic direction, and professional consultation to senior level leadership and their respective organizations on all matters involving human capital.

The successful candidate will collaborate with operational leaders and develop human capital strategies in the areas of talent management, organizational design, change management, training and employee relations.The Director interprets corporate policies and procedures with operating management, providing guidance and oversight to the client business team.

The ideal candidate will partner to implement strategic plans and manage change, as well as partner with the Human Resources Vice President to lead strategic business initiatives within the Human Resources function.

The Human Resource Director is a strategic role requiring developing and articulating clear and compelling HR strategies.

The ability to partner effectively to implement and execute programs through a multi-layered, decentralized organization is a predictor of success.

The successful candidate will be a natural leader with high energy and a sense of enthusiasm who can inspire and motivate others, thereby creating vision and commitment throughout the organization.

Implements key Human Resource strategies with client groups including: training and development, succession planning, compensation planning, benefits, employee retention, performance management, talent acquisition, labor relations and employee relations.Directs Talent Management initiatives including, on boarding, employee training coordination and delivery, evaluations, organizational development and employee retention strategies.

Oversees talent acquisition activities in creatively sourcing and hiring talent.

Partners with the Talent Acquisition Manager in supporting talent acquisition initiatives and maintaining manager pipeline.

Partners in addressing organizational design issues and opportunities across client groups, providing counsel on organization optimization, including restructuring, realignments, job description creation/evaluations and other methods for optimizing people resources.  Lead Employee Engagement activities and impact planning for area of responsibility.  Develops, interprets, and ensures the compliance of policies and procedures.

Coaches and advises leadership and management on all employee relations issues.

Conducts and resolves employee investigations in a timely manner in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations.

Directs Human Resources programs covering employment, on boarding, training, compensation, AA/EEO compliance, safety and health, benefits, employee relations, record retention etc.

in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Participates in sales presentations as appropriate.

Acts as a strategic business partner and liaison by helping to direct solutions to business problems and ensuring the efficient delivery of HR programs and services

Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Resource Management; master’s degree is preferred.

Additionally, ideal candidates should have 7+ years of Human Resources generalist experience, demonstrating a record of progressively increasing responsibility.

Experience with companies operating in multi-site, multi-state operations required.

Also important is experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in both line and staff roles in a heavily matrix and decentralized organization.

Proven leadership experience within a top-tier Human Resources function Demonstrated success building and maintaining effective internal relationships to drive achievement within highly-matrixed, team-based environments Ability to effectively influence and lead without direct authority Proven ability to effectively interact, communicate and consult with multiple levels of management on a routine basis Personal accountability, unquestioned integrity, and good listening skills Organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills and dynamic presentation skills for audiences across multiple organization levels Ability to adapt to new situations and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment Experience in labor relations and positive employee relations Overnight travel approximately 30-50%
