Our products can be found at through retail and club locations nationwide.Objective: The HR Generalist is responsible for assisting and supporting HR department goals and objectives.

This position will be a key component in supporting the manufacturing associates.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, company policy and procedure adherence.

In addition, build strong relationships with our company’s managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.

Role and Responsibilities: Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

Assist with benefits administration, workers compensation, recruitment, and employee relations functions at the plant level.Recruitment:Coordinate entire recruitment process from requisition to hireSet up applicant interviews who meet set of qualificationsArrange hiring manager interviews by coordinating schedules with all partiesDrafts and execute onboarding plans for non-production staffEnsures the company meets all state and federal regulations regarding employmentAssist in the development of local recruitment plansWork with HR Management and Plant management to ensure that staffing goals are met.Help maintain all written information regarding employees, including but not limited to: Employee Handbook, Job Descriptions, Training Information, Employee FilesConduct New Hire Orientations and necessary legal trainingsAssist with annual compensation planningEmployee Relations:Provide guidance to supervisors in employee relations mattersConduct unbiased investigations and provide a written summary and recommendation to Production Supervisor, HR Manager and or VP of OperationsSupport and coach managers with progressive discipline, harassment, workplace violence and other HR related issues.Follow up with staff included in the investigationSit in on employee terminations, serving as unbiased partyReview corrective action prior to delivery by supervisorUnderstand the needs of production employeesRecord and address employee concernsPartner with HR Manager for ADA, FMLA, CFRA events.Provides coaching and training on the development and execution of performance assessments.Supports and facilitates functional succession planning and ensures the integration of succession planning into performance management and staffing decisions.Maintains HR plans and participates in the development and facilitation of career planning/capability development.Benefits Administration:Conduct annual Open enrollment meetingsCommunicating benefit information to employeesEnroll and manage employee benefits from initial signup to termination of benefitsRun monthly report for benefits eligibilityCOBRA administrationWorkers Compensation:Manage and maintain administrative aspect of each claim.Upload work status reports, DWC form and initial claim informationTrack employee appointments and follow upEnsure initial return to work meeting is conducted and documentedCommunicates claim issues to manager.Maintains count for days without an injuryHolds safety committee meetingsConducts monthly safety walks documenting key issuesReport safety related work order request to maintenance; follow up as neededAdministrative:Administrative duties and recordkeepingParticipate in employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewsServe as the unbiased party, ensuring the supervisor or plant manager properly execute terminations.Monitor plant wide employee headcountConduct weekly meetings with supervisor to understand departmental needsOversee the internal promotion and cross training programsOrders and maintains office suppliesPlans events and company functions while maintaining a budgetPartners with recruiting resources and hiring managers to assess position requirements and screen internal/external candidatesWorks with other HR Manager to help broker possible cross-functional moves.Provides direct recruiting support as assigned.Other duties as assignedThis job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area3+ years’ of experience working in Human ResourcesBilingual (Spanish) PreferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills
