Human Resources GeneralistSchool Health Corporation is seeking to employ a Human Resource Generalist for its Alsip location. This individual would manage the day-to-day operations of the human resource office of a company, as well as the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs. They will also handle employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment. They will report the Human Resource Manager in our Rolling Meadows location.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance training.* Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.* Works with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for job openings.* Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.* Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.* Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; workers compensation, OSHA and safety compliance; and training and development.* Responds timely to questions from applicants, employees, and supervisors.* Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.* Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.* Tracks required HR Metrics and provides analysis of the data.* Researches and maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.* Performs other duties as assigned.Human Resources Generalist Qualifications/Skills:* Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field* Understanding of state and federal employment regulations* Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance* Understanding of personnel and compliance records management* Strong analytical and problem solving skills* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities* Ability to maintain confidentiality* Ability to handle conflict management and employee relations issues* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines* Strong analytical and problem solving skillsEducation and Experience Requirements:* Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field* 3-5 years human resources experience* Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)* PHR or SPHR certification preferred* Bilingual English/Spanish a plusSchool Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
