Human Resources Generalist

PolyCon Solutions

This is a Full-time position in Washington, DC posted November 21, 2021.

Description:

PolyCon Solutions, LLC is seeking a  Human Resources (HR) Generalist.

The HR Generalist has overall responsibility for all human resource functional areas, including recruiting and talent management, employee relations, and benefits administration.

Responsibilities:

Supports the recruitment/hiring process by:
Actively sourcing, recruiting, screening, and interviewing any potential candidates.
Working with Program Managers to create position descriptions.
Developing and maintaining PolyCon’s recruiting database.
Provides talent management support by:
Creating and processing new employee orientation packages and new-hire checklists.
Documenting and organizing post-interview debriefs.
Conducting exit interviews, analyzing data, and making recommendations to the leadership team for action and continuous improvement
Supports employee relations by:
Responding to internal HR related inquiries and/or requests and, provides assistance to employees as needed
Maintaining associate personnel files and training materials, ensuring documents and manuals are current, accurate, confidential, and in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Supports employees in the departure process to include voluntary and involuntary separations
Performs benefits administration duties such as:
Managing the enrollments and terminations of health and welfare plans.
Processing required documents through insurance providers to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions.
Managing annual Open Enrollment process.
Works closely with hiring managers and Leadership across the organization to understand current and future needs.

Qualifications:
Ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and organizational skills.
Must be able to maintain and track recruiting metrics.
Experience navigating a KSN site or database as a user is preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills, the ability to interface with customers and collaborate in a cross-discipline team environment are required.
Excellent written skills, including a thorough understanding of grammar, spelling, and formatting; strong proofreading and editing skills.
Strong attention to detail and well-organized, with the ability to work well in a collaborative team setting.
Experience or knowledge using an Applicant Tracking System.
Education and Experience:  
BA/BS in Human Resources, business administration, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of HR or business-related experience
