GENERAL JOB SUMMARYWorking in conjunction with HR Director, senior management, and the organization, the HR Generalist partners with managers and employees at various levels to provide HR support and solutions with regard to performance, attendance, and employee relations; HR research and projects, and full life cycle recruiting. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS+ Keeps abreast with the legal requirements for HR benefits and policies; and government reporting; ensures accurate application. .+ Responsible for the full life cycle process including: Job description creation, creation of job postings, timely response to internal candidates and external candidates, arrange for and conduct interviews, ensuring employment tests are administered, prepare and extend offer of employment+ Plans and create Safety Topics to foster positive attitude toward company safety policies, practices and objectives.+ Maintain accurate and timely employee file records for benefits personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.+ Responds to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.+ Assist in administering employee enrollment and changes for benefits programs, and for responding to employee questions.+ Participates in investigating accidents/injuries as needed.+ Conduct employee relations investigations+ Maintains the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of HR files and records; electronic and paper. + Prepare and post bulletin board postings (open jobs, company announcements, regulatory, etc.)+ Assists with annual open enrollment process+ Orders appropriate refreshments and sets up for employee relations events such as: birthday / service recognition, safety celebration, etc.+ Prepares memos, letters, presentations KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES+ Excellent interpersonal skills.+ Resourceful and well organized.+ Good reasoning abilities; sound judgment used to balance other business consideration.+ Strong administrative skills (Microsoft Office).EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field+ Minimum of 3-4 years of human resources generalist experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.+ Demonstrated experience with labor law, employment sourcing, communications, employee relations, benefits and compensation administration+ Effective communication skills, both verbal and written+ Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).+ Experience with HRIS (ADP preferred).+ Demonstrated ability to develop strong consulting relationships and influence business leaders through coaching and partnerships.+ Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations affecting the workplace.+ Ability to work collaboratively with and influence the plant leadership team.+ Strong manufacturing floor presence with the ability to understand the pulse of employee morale.+ BENEFITS:+ Medical, Dental, Life, AD&D, and STD at first of month following 59 days+ 10 paid Holidays + 5 days paid vacation + 5 unpaid days off during first year+ Matching 401(k) retirement contribution first of next quarter following 1 year of employment
