This is a Full-time position in Harrisonburg, VA posted July 9, 2019.

This position will primarily be responsible for leading the recruitment process, from job posting up to onboarding; following a consistent and fair process.

He or she will be responsible for providing a wide range of HR support on topics such as recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits, onboarding, performance management and HR best practices.

The individual will help to facilitate a positive relationship between personnel and management.

Responsibilities:Lead recruitment process: create and update Job Descriptions according to the hiring manager’s specifications and post requisitions to social media, job boards, and the company websiteOversee the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), monitor resumes and applications, conduct phone screenings, schedule interviews with hiring managers, and facilitate communication with potential candidatesUtilize Human Resources Management System in order to assist with payroll compensation, onboarding, and terminations for hourly InterChange (IC) & Classic Distribution (CDI) employees Organize and manage Onboarding, Orientation, and initial Compliance TrainingExplain and provide information on employee benefits, enrollments, education and other programsAssess, approve and track FMLA and Short Term Disability/Long Term DisabilityMaintain compliant, thorough records of the hiring process guidelinesCoordinate with relevant supervisors and managers to find the best candidates for open positions and identify future hiring needsConduct pre-employment screenings for each offer extended to candidateAssist in the implementation of employee policies as stated in the employee handbookCreate and update HR forms, policies, and documents to be uniform and to align with current practicesPossess general Human Resources knowledge in order to assist Team Members with or without the direction of Human Resources ManagerPlan and coordinate all Performance Management Reviews with Managers and Supervisors and follow-up in the timely mannerParticipate in bi-weekly Supervisor’s meetingAssist with the EEO-1 reportAssist Managers and Supervisors with documentation in the worker’s compensation processGather information, stories, and significant events proactively from both management & Team Members in order to create content for company communication stations (Marlin)for InterChange and CDIAssist with implementation and update all Marlin communication stations in employee-heavy locations for IC and CDICreate company Newsletter on a monthly basisDOT onboarding and compliance (i.e.

new hire checklist, DOT File, re-certifications)Coordinate documentation for random drug testing for all companiesCommunicate with the Supervisors on the Temp setup (IC and CDI)Assist Human Resources Manager (HRM) in daily duties, as well as projects and eventsRepresent the company in a professional, friendly manner at all times, both internally and externallySeek out ways to improve company morale and efficiencyAid in the development of a culture that reflects the Keystones of InterChangeOther duties as assigned Requirements:High school degree or equivalentBachelor’s Degree in HR Management or related experience in a HR Generalist roleFamiliarity with Applicant Tracking SystemsExperience with sourcing techniquesAbility to retain confidential information for candidates, employees, or former employeesAbility to take initiative and be proactive in projects and eventsAbility to work independentlyAbility to self-teach or find guidance from internet resources regarding new programs, software, or policiesAbility to research, collect, and utilize new information to better the companyFour years of experience with Microsoft Office, other common programsAdditional Eligibility Qualifications (Optional)SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certificationHRCI – PHR/SPHR
