Human Resources Generalist


This is a Contract position in Sherrill, NY posted October 28, 2020.

Aerotek is working on behalf of a manufacturer to hire for an Human Resource Generalist in Sherrill, NY!

This individual will serve as the primary resource for employees and managers related to one or more functional HR areas

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop reports and analyses as required; recommend action within HR and/or to employees and managers
  • Provide proactive resolution of employee concerns and problems with goal of future problem prevention
  • Delivers written communications and presentations to communicate concepts related to one or more functional HR areas for diverse audiences of employees; develop and conducts training and presentations
  • Manage the recruitment efforts for hourly, exempt and nonexempt employees, students and temporary employees; may conduct new-employee orientations
  • Support outsourced processes, such as, FMLA/LOA and Workers Compensation providing feedback when issues arise along with solutions


  • Bachelor in HR, Business or Three years of experience within an HR setting
  • Strong organization and time management/project management skills necessary to prioritize and
    manage multiple, complex projects, potentially with conflicting priorities
  • Ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Solid computer skills

Additional Information:

  • Monday-Friday, shift between 8AM-5PM (40/hr)
  • Business casual attire
  • Start: Within the next few weeks
