Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition
- Manages full cycle recruitment initiatives, including:
- Develops and executes new initiatives for recruitment. Places postings and advertisements, attends job fairs
- Conducts reference and other background/pre-employment checks
- Extends offers of employment, schedules pre-employment tests, and comprehensive training.
- Conducts new employee orientations.
- Handles internal employee transfers.
Employee Relations
- Maintains knowledge of labor laws, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Partners with leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase retention, and foster positive environment.
- Provides guidance, interpretation, and advice to leaders about laws and policies. Assists in the development and implementation of policies
- Partners with leaders to resolve employee relation or disciplinary issues.
- Ensures that investigations are thorough and objective.
- Conducts exit interviews.
- Manages unemployment claims and represents the organization at unemployment hearings.
- Plans and executes employee events (DSP Week, Employee Recognition, and Christmas Party)
Benefits

- Answers benefit questions and resolves any employee issues related to benefits.
- Helps research and determine the best benefits and structure for employees at the most economical cost.
- Acts as a liaison with various insurance carriers.
- Assists with open enrollment including, but not limited to, distributing materials from insurance carriers, communicating changes to employees, and arranging onsite representation by providers.
Training & Development
- Partners with leaders to ensure that all employees are in compliance with all organizational, County, State, and Federal regulations.
- Identifies training needs.
- Plans, organizes and conducts HR related training.
- Schedules the appropriate classroom for new hires and current employees.
Worker’s Compensation
- Serves as the liaison between employees and the worker’s compensation insurance company representative.
- Support leaders in conducting accident investigations and resolving any workplace safety hazards.
- Partner with leaders to identify light duty work and create temporary light duty schedule for employees.
- Maintain the OSHA 300 log and 300A form.
FMLA
- Administers FMLA in accordance with Federal and State laws.
- Tracks employee’s use of FMLA time against their entitlement and notifies employees when their leave expires.
- Administers organization’s Personal Leave of Absence policy.
Supports the strategic planning process and may assist in developing the initiatives to achieve the overall mission and vision of the organization.
Participates in organizational committees and meetings as appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
- Related HR Generalist experience
- Experience in Human Services field a plus
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong project management, interpersonal, and creative problem solving skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects, requests, and other duties with a strong ability to prioritize them to meet established goals and objectives.
- Valid Driver’s License with responsible driving record
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, and other computer programs.
