It’s about people leading innovation.We are presently looking for a new member to join our Fort Payne, AL team as:Human Resources GeneralistOur ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with good communication skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:* Develop and provide recommendations for policies and procedures* Advise employee and management personnel on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs and procedures* Ensures that programs are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures* Analyze and provide advice to employees, supervisors, and managers on methods and approaches to resolve employee relation issues (i.e. employee complaints, harassment allegations, etc.)* Recommend, develop and maintain an accurate human resources information system including employee personnel files and relevant electronic data files* Oversee accurate completion of daily time sheets and completion of weekly payroll and associated tasks* Administer all employee benefits and company pension plans, where required* Coordinate and maintain training needs and records and provide training, where required* Coordinate and maintain an effective performance management system including job descriptions, performance discussions, and performance evaluations* Coach managers and supervisors in managing employee performance* Coordinate and maintain all employee vacation time and other paid time off records* Manage employee absenteeism and attendance program, issue corrective disciplinary action as required, and report on statistics* Conduct recruitment and selection effort for all internal and external available positions* Build and sustain beneficial relationships with employment agencies and educational institutions to aid in the recruitment effort* Conduct new employee orientation and ensure paperwork is processed and benefits are reflected properly* Manage salary structure, position documentation, and an evaluation system* Provide consultation on compensation issues such as job descriptions, job design, market pricing and internal equity issues* Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to management for corrective action and continuous improvement* Contribute as project leader or team member on various department and business initiatives* Provide research as requested* Maintain all HR plant related forms and documents to QS-9000/ISO14001 standards* Develop and implement continuous improvements to human resources systems, policies and proceduresMINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in human resources or CHRP, PHR or SHRM-CP certificate or equivalent relevant work experience* Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in human resources, including a minimum 1 year payroll related experience* Familiarity with and ability to interpret and apply employment legislation* Demonstrated work knowledge of multiple human resource areas preferred* Demonstrates a high level of integrity, trust and composure and viewed as approachable by all levels of the organization* Strong data analysis and basic research skills* Strong decision making and problem solving skills* Strong conflict resolution skills* Strong planning skills with proven ability to implementOTHER REQUIREMENTS:* Ability to work effectively in a fast paced multi-tasked environment.* Ability to perform well in high pressure situations* Possess sound financial and business insights* Capable of independent travel to, from, and within designated regions* Access to reliable transportationWE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER If you need an accommodation for any part of the application and hiring process or have any questions, please contact HR
