The Human Resources Manager is responsible for several aspects of HR, including but not limited to employee relations, benefits, compensation/analysis, HR Reporting, and advocating company culture. He/She will be a true business partner, providing leadership and consultation across the organization. The HR Manager will assess and anticipates HR-related needs and partner to devise value added service to management and employees to advance the business objectives of the organization. The HR Manager will provide support on people-related matters, manage all benefits administration and compensation administration, support the recruiting team, while helping to provide direction to the other members of the HR team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation and Payroll, HR Policies and Procedures, and General HR Functions. In conjunction with the Executive Director of Human Resources, resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations when required. Provides performance management guidance (coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions). Maintains up to date knowledge of legal requirements related to employee relations and performance management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring compliance. Assists employees with claims questions and problems. Act as an intermediary between the employee and insurance company when general or claims problems arise that the employee cannot handle, and ensure that the employees’ needs, and concerns are known and adequately addressed. Manages the annual open enrollment process. Serves a s HR’s primary contact for employee 401(k) assistance. Generates annual salary budgets and approve merit increases. Perform periodic review of the salary structure for all positions through credible sources. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with Executive Director of HR to develop HR solutions, programs, and policies. Audit all job descriptions to ensure legal compliance. Participate in meetings, conversations, and presentations in a manner that is concise, clear, and professional. Job Requirements:


•               • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Communication, or related field.

• Minimum of 7 years working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including benefits administration, compensation practices, payroll processing, employee relations, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.

•               • Prior experience supervising or leading a team.

•               • PHR/SPHR certification.

•               • Experience with California employment law preferred.

• Ability to handle highly sensitive information in such a way as to ensure confidentiality.

•               • Excellent communication, diplomacy, and interpersonal skills.

•               • Excellent software skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

•               • Demonstrated strong organization and prioritization skills, and problem-solving skills.

•               • Command of English grammar rules, applications, and word usage.

•               • Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct.

•               • Displayed ability to lead and contribute in a team environment.
