Come join Wallis Companies as a key leader of our human resources division! You will be the point-person on all aspects of the team member experience. We are looking for a human resources candidate with experience in an organization(s) with 500+ headcount, demonstrated success in managing multiple priorities, responding to changing business trends and maneuvering in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate should have experience working in a portfolio company with multiple industries and diverse workforce represented. While this role’s team is located in Cuba, MO, there may be some flexibility a few days a week to work in alternative locations.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing company benefit programs and payroll functions; assisting in the development, planning, and implementation of HR strategies, policies, procedures, and initiatives; and acts as a resource for company managers related to employment law and company policies, procedures and values. This role manages payroll, leaves of absence, performance management, 401(k); ADA, ACA, FMLA, EEO, Workers Compensation and FLSA compliance; OSHA required reporting; lead and support all safety policies; time management, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once and amid frequent interruptions.

WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?

Education: Required: Strong Preference for Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management; Strong Preference for SHRM membership and PHR/SPHR certification-or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
Experience: Requires 5+ years’ progressive experience in Human Resources, Payroll/Benefits; strong preference for HR experience in an organization of 500+ employees; experience in retail industry a plus!
