Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager is a key resource to managers and employees across Clean Earth, providing assistance and support in recruiting, hiring, talent management, training and development and employment practices.

The HR Manager will coach, advise, encourage, develop and manage as a regular part of the daily role, while continuously ensuring that Clean Earth is respected as a great place to work, build a career and develop business and professional partnerships.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Provide direct employee support through phone, email and in-person interactions in areas related to hiring, on boarding, employment and off boarding In partnership with VP of HR, provide direct support to managers in relation to employee performance management, recruiting and hiring processes, employment practices issues, training and development Conduct full life-cycle recruiting activities for various exempt roles in corporate and field locations Manage, maintain and continuously improve company-wide on boarding programs Manage employee new hire process, in partnership with HR Specialist and Benefits Administrator Coordinate leave management in partnership with Benefits Administrator and Payroll Coordinator Manage employee communications program, in partnership with VP of HR Coordinate employee training programs Manage annual performance management process, in partnership with VP of HR Provide HR support as needed through acquisition-related activities Experience, Knowledge, and Education Requirements Education and Technical Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Human Resources required 5 years of prior experience in an HR Generalist role or 3 years’ experience in an HR Manager role supporting a mid-size (300 employees) organization 3 years of prior experience in the environmental services/waste management, construction or manufacturing industry Sound knowledge in using a Human Capital Management System and/or Applicant Tracking System Prior experience handling employment relations and HR business processes required Prior experience managing recruiting and/or training activities preferred Excellent knowledge/understanding of employment law, recruiting & hiring practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and other Office tools Strong listening and presentation skills Disclaimer: This job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
