Human Resources Manager

Nesco Resource

This is a Full-time position in Rochester, NY posted February 25, 2021.

The Human Resources Leader will be the primary Human Resources contact at the Rochester facility of a multi-site manufacturer. This is a key position within a high growth, high tech company. Successful candidates will have strong employee relations, recruiting and HR policy experience.   • Build and maintain productive relationships with employees, leaders, and other relevant stakeholders
  • First point of on-site contact for employee questions related to HR policy interpretation, benefit inquiries and overall HR support
  • Together with the Talent Acquisition team, support and facilitate recruitment for the facility, including assisting where necessary with onboarding and assimilation of new hires
  • Develop recommendations and coordinate employee relations activities, including leading or assisting as needed in investigations of alleged misconduct and submit findings and recommendations to HR management
  • Coach and counsel leaders and employees on development, and employee disciplinary matters
  • Manage relationships with key external vendors including temporary, direct placement, outsourcing and contract agencies supporting the facility
  • Support the organization through participation in special HR projects that maintain a positive employer-employee relationship and maintain morale
  • Interface with department leaders to build relationships, employee morale and increase both productivity and retention
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all applicable local and federal regulations
  • Promote culture of employee engagement, a positive environment and a great place to work
  • Represent companyin a professional manner at all times and in all interactions
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or another relevant field
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Human Resource, preferably in a generalist capacity
  • Two (2) years’ of experience coordinating and supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, as well as experience in employee relations including workplace investigations
  • HR certification preferred (PHR or SHRM-CP)
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment or related industry is highly preferred
  • Experience working in an organization with numerous locations and a remote workforce is highly preferred
  • Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Workday is desired
  • Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills
  • Strong project management and process improvement capabilities
  • Demonstrates the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent follow-through
  • Must be driven and self-motivated
