Human resources manager

This is a Full-time position in San Antonio, TX posted November 8, 2019.

Thank you for considering our Human Resources Manager position.

You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s human resources function by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

This position is also responsible for all facilities management at all company offices.

Essential Job Functions
• Manage all aspects of the relationship with Ovation’s PEO provider
• Recruiting, hiring, and on-boarding of employees
• Processing and transmitting payroll information, including 401k contributions
• Maintaining accurate employee records from pre-employment through termination
• Administration of the employee benefit plan, including all regulatory filings
• Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors
• Preform benefit utilization reviews, analyze trends in total rewards, and communicate benefit plan information to employees
• Set management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies Competencies

• Manage the PEO relationship to ensure company leverages all benefits offered and being paid for by the employees
• High skill level for attention to details and accuracy
• Critical thinking regarding company changes, such as alterations to policies and procedures
• Strong financial management, always managing the bottom line effectively
• Personal effectiveness/credibility
• Show up when your employees need you and make sure managers are available when needed
• Participate in special projects as required
• Communication and relationship skills to negotiate win-win situations for the employees and company
• Stay updated on legislation related to employment Required Education and Experience
• Requires a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with 3 5 years of experience in HR
• HR Certification is preferred (SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
• Knowledge of Human Resource laws
• Excellent phone skills
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong multi-tasking skills
• Organizational and analytical skills
• Detail oriented
