Human Resources Manager

Takigawa Corporation America

This is a Full-time position in Bardstown, KY posted November 21, 2021.

Job Function:

As the top human resources executive, you will provide leadership, strategic direction, and management for the human resources department while acting as a consultant / resource, for functional department leaders relating to Company policies, procedures, recruiting, workforce development, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, benefits, training and succession planning to help foster and build a high functioning team ensuring continued growth for this dynamic fast growing organization.

This position reports to the President.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the human resource department activities
  • Review, create, modify and implement corporate policy and procedure as appropriate ensuring compliance and support of Company strategy.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive employee management system including coaching, career development, training, annual performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and succession planning for both hourly and salary team members.
  • Assess and build leadership bench-strength and organizational capabilities creating a collaborative high-performance work environment.
  • Review and direct recruiting strategies, hiring decisions and onboarding processes
  • Develop and maintain compensation and benefit programs to ensure competitiveness and compliance
  • Develop and implement Corporate 401K program
  • Periodic review, and modification as appropriate, of the HR handbook.
  • Primary contact for legal issues relating to employment matters such as EEOC claims, ULP claims, Civil Rights claims, etc.
  • Select and manage vendor relationships for payroll, benefits, and workers compensation
  • Set up of payroll procedures, controls and recordkeeping
  • Responsible for all phases of the employment process as it relates to Human Resources, (ie development and maintenance of hiring, orientation, promotion, performance management, exit interviews programs, job descriptions, etc.)
  • Handle all aspects of team member discipline issues
  • Monitor compliance with annual employee performance management procedures.
  • Consult with department leaders to maintain Federal, State and Local compliance.
  • Consult with Corporate leaders on HR-related issues within departments, on topics such as professional development, FMLA, FLSA, appropriate HR transactions, compliance, payroll, and employee recruitment.
  • Develop and oversee Worker’s Compensation
  • Coordinate and oversee the safety training programs and reporting.
  • Coordinate and conduct through investigations and assist with appropriate actions.
  • Responsible for all US, State and local compliance.
  • Monitor, analyze and report measurable training data
  • Process and manage all unemployment claims and hearings.
  • Process grant and other support systems to reduce training costs.
  • Responsible for identifying, selecting, training, and coaching management talent.
  • Assist in training, coaching and promoting training objectives to Facilitators and Team Leaders

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field required, Masters degree beneficial.
  • Certification in Human Resources such as- SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP desired.
  • Minimum 10 years progressively responsible human resources experience
  • Minimum 5 years management experience
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in Kentucky and the United States.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service for all employee populations.
  • Demonstrated performance of achieving individual and team hiring targets
  • Demonstrated ability to coach team members on effectively developing employee skills and identifying opportunities for improvement across functional teams and the Corporation.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, at ease with ambiguity, ability to deal with high complexity situations, comfortable with a high level of detail yet mindful of the bigger picture
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to multitask, set clear priorities for your team; excellent attention to detail; ability to quickly pivot focus based on business needs and continue to deliver results
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
