About the RoleAs Human Resources Representative you will play a key role as part of a small but nimble HR team. You will handle and provide support for various HR employee programs while ensuring compliance of company policies and local, state and federal employment laws. You will identify, develop, and implement meaningful solutions that improve and build upon the company’s culture, employee experience, internal communications, and social and community impact programs. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with candidates, employees and external partners.A Day in the Life* Responsible for the day to day administration of human resources programs* Manage and resolve employee relations issues* Respond to general employee questions related to benefits, company policies and procedures.* Assist in the development and management of our employee communications strategy via multiple channels (email, newsletter, print, in-person)* Be a champion for improving our culture and employee engagement opportunities and help build a positive, productive, and fun culture that people want to be part of* Create and implement tenure, peer, and value recognition programs* Manage and grow our employee volunteer programs ensuring shared value for our community, employees and organization* Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations, and monthly bills reconciliation.* Assist in development and coordination of annual open enrollment and performance reviews.* Play an active role in recruitment including creating requisitions, reviewing resumes, screening candidates, scheduling interviews and creating offer letters.* Complete routine verification of employment and similar inquiries.* Assist in development and ongoing maintenance of systems, processes and procedures. Prepare associated written policies and procedures (SOP’s).* Maintain employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.* Maintain personnel-related databases and files, manage their offsite storage and retention.* Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and industry trends and make recommendations to management for improvement of organization’s policies, procedures and practices.* Assist with termination process, prepare required paperwork and its distribution.* Generate reports for internal and external information for reporting or auditing purposes.* Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and onboarding process.* Manage leaves of absences.* Maintain the employee handbook with updated resolutions and other pertinent information, as needed.* Utilize the HRIS system for data entry and daily, weekly and monthly report generation.* Travel within Petaluma to the plant or distribution warehouse as needed.What You Bring To The Team* Knowledge of local, federal and state employment, leave of absence and wage and hour laws.* HRIS experience – preferably ADP.* Proven experience developing and implementing HR programs* Employee relations experience* LOA / Benefit administration.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* High degree of written communication and proofreading skills.* Ability to interact with employees at all levels.* Ability to prioritize, meet strict deadlines and maintain confidentiality.* Resolve problems in a timely manner and skillfully gather and analyze information.* Proficient in MS Office Suite, intermediate level Excel.Education* Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, with a concentration in Human Resources.* PHR, SPHR or other creditable HR certificates is preferred.* 3-5 years direct Human Resources experience, prior roles as an HR Representative, HR Specialist.About Clover SonomaThird-generation family owned and operated, Clover Sonoma is recognized as a leader at the forefront of the dairy industry with their full line of conventional and organic dairy products.
