Human Resource Specialist We are currently seeking a Human Resource Specialist to join our team.

SUMMARY This position serves as subject matter expert on Insperity HR compliance issues.

Using extensive knowledge of Insperity HR business rules, federal and state laws, promotes consistency of process and compliance with state and federal minimum requirements in order to mitigate both client and Insperity liability.

Researches and consults on human resources topics related to federal and state employment law.

Responsible for human resource process development, process improvements and project management activities related to compliance efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES Under limited supervision and much decision-making: Provides consulting and research services to internal service providers, focusing on compliance with state and federal employment law.

Obtains input from internal resources.

Acts as a subject matter expert and provides guidance and advice to service providers on the appropriate use of Insperity HR processes in order to maintain compliance with changing federal and state employment laws related to Paid Sick Leave, PTO, mandatory leave requirements, etc.

Recommends human resources processes for use by client service personnel that streamline processes and increase quality assurance results.

Ensures the organization’s business objectives are met and liability exposure is reduced through quality review and process improvements and the effective use of HR best practices.

Conducts formal presentations including complex topics and processes, such as liability assessments and audit results of Insperity’s compliance efforts and risk exposure.

Evaluates, designs and conducts training on Insperity processes and HR best practice that support compliance efforts or both new and existing service providers.

Researches and analyzes new and pending legal and regulatory requirements, identifies minimum compliance needs and develops appropriate processes to ensure compliance either through quality review or resource tools.

Builds and strengthens collaborative working relationships with other Insperity departments and Field Service personnel.

Job Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience is required.

Five to seven years of related Human Resources experience are required.

Three to four years in business process analysis is preferred.

Professional or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR®, SPHR®) and/or SHRM Certified Professional or Senior Professional (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SPC) certification preferred.

Demonstrated expertise and experience in Human Resources best practices with emphasis on employee relations as well as related federal, state, and local laws and regulations Working knowledge of key business drivers and impact of decisions and actions on business outcomes.

Adaptive, resilient, and able to negotiate and influence behavior toward positive outcomes.

Change management skills and experience.

Mentoring skills.

Strong customer service experience in a team environment.

Working knowledge of business drivers for small businesses.

Strong time management, detail-orientation, and organizational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize.

Project management skills and experience managing multiple projects.

Communicates tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of an organization and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment.

Able to communicate to a wide audience and translate complex human resources issues and concepts into understandable terms.

Effective problem solving/decision making skills.

Proficient in the design and delivery of presentations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and demonstrated ability to learn other applications as needed.
