Taco Time NW is seeking a Human Resources Specialist at our Home Office in Renton, WA.

The individual in this position provides the highest level of support to the HR Team by providing exceptional customer service and demonstrating excellent organizational skills to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks in an efficient manner while producing quality, accurate work and maintaining confidentiality.

This position’s duties include, but are not limited to assistance with day-to-day operations of the HR department, administering worker’s compensation claims, responding to un-employment claims, HR filing and record retention and benefit administration.

Key Responsibilities: Manage health insurance enrollments from eligibility to termination.

Ensure data is accurate in HRIS, carrier notifications are done and audits are performed on a regular basis.Responsible for tracking and collecting premiums for employees on Leave of Absence.Assists employees regarding benefit portal, new enrollments, benefits issues, life changes status, and plan changesAssists in the coordination and execution of the open enrollment processOversees COBRA administration.Respond to employee and manager inquires regarding health insurance benefits.Assisting with data management and file maintenance to include day to day data entry and employee data maintenance in the HRISProcess annual EEOC-1 reportingProcess unemployment claims.Assist VP of HR with employee relations.Assist in the coordination of event planning and employee recognition programs.Assist with employee file checks and respond appropriately.Assist with employee surveys.

Create surveys and compile results.Communicate directly with third party vendor to manage workers’ compensation claims from initial filing to claim closure.

Coordinate with third-party administrator to manage the day to day functions of the Workers Compensation Program including reporting and processing of all claims; investigating or overseeing the investigation of claims; ensuring accurate and timely claim management to meet Taco Time Northwest’s expectations and legal requirements.Serve as a primary point of contact for all workers’ compensation claims, educating employees and managers on the processes and related policies.When applicable, administer SAW, ERTW, KOS for workers’ comp claimsStay abreast of trends and innovations in the field of workers’ compensation.Maintain an efficient records maintenance system for workers’ compensation claims related information, data and activities.Complete annual OSHA 300 reporting.Provide reports and feedback to Safety Committee on work related injuries.Responsible for filing, maintaining HR Storage areas, archiving and record retention of all HR related documents, both soft and hard copy documentation.Ability to assist in compliance with applicable HR related laws, rules and regulations and institute changes as well as communication to those affected.Process employee status changes in HRIS (pay, employment status, benefit eligibility, title, etc.)Order and distributes Mandatory Labor Law Posters as necessary Provide administrative support to Human Resources Department.Maintain Shoes for Crews account.Demonstrate team building and interpersonal skills by maintaining positive, collaborative, and constructive interpersonal relationships. Understands and practices the principles of effective teamwork, self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a collaborative setting.Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one time.Adapts to changes in work assignments and environment, is willing to assume additional responsibility and learn new processes.Support special projects and other designated activities, as assigned. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications: Minimum of 2-3 years human resources experience.Ability to use a variety of software, including Word, Outlook and Excel.Must be detailed oriented, highly organized and able to manage conflicting priorities.Ability to work in a team environment and strong customer service skills.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Willingness to learn new things and be adaptable to changing priorities.Ability to handle confidential information and a sense of urgency.

Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree in business administration, human resources management.Knowledge of HRIS systems, ADP knowledge a plus.
