This National Guard position is for a INFORMATION RESOURCES SPECIALIST (Title 32), Position Description Number D1851000 and is part of the IL 183 WG, National Guard.ResponsibilitiesRequirementsConditions of EmploymentnullQualificationsAREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S.

Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence, The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians in the Springfield Air National Guard at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport The SECOND area of consideration will be all members of the Illinois Air National Guard.

The THIRD area of consideration will be all those eligible for membership in the Illinois Air National Guard.

Military Grades: Enlisted Only GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training which provide a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration; Experience using computer and automation systems.

– Must possess specialized experience for the GS-09 Level, which includes 24 months of experience, education or training in any position that required compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information; experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled; thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management; and experience developing administrative procedures.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the lower grade level in the Federal service in order to be considered for this position.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
