Position: IT Recruiter Location: 1551 S.

Rural Road, Tempe, AZ 85281 Duration: 5 Months with higher extension possibilities Pay Rate: $19.24/hr Shift Time: 8:00 AM
– 5:00 PM Position Description: IT Recruiter will perform complex administrative functions to assist and coordinate high volume non-exempt and exempt level recruiting activities to ensure availability of competent pool of Information Technology (IT) applicants for achievement of established goals and objectives for the University Technology Office.

Determines appropriate IT sourcing strategy based on understanding of applicant pool and most cost effective advertising strategy to maximize candidates.

Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting IT community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, social media and internet sites; provides and promotes information regarding ASU and opportunities.

Plans, implements and evaluates effectiveness of targeted recruitment efforts designed to source and identify viable IT candidates; prepares presentations to market ASU employment options.

Screens applications and resumes for qualified candidates; performs initial interview of applicant to assess skills, competency and preferences for appropriate match with available openings.

Notifies candidates of selection decisions; schedules appointments for completion of required documents, screening and orientation.

Works closely and collaboratively with hiring authorities to prepare IT job opening announcements, and advertising strategies.

Prepares all correspondence to interviewed applicants to ensure timely notification of employment decisions.

Maintains all records and files of recruiting activities, candidates and outcomes to ensure availability and accuracy of information in response to all inquiries.

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business or closely related field with at least 2 years previous IT recruiting experience including general recruitment responsibilities, OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
