Position Summary:The Human Resources Director oversees the human resources function (recruitment, retention, orientation, training, compensation/benefits, etc.) of the facility in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:Must have a bachelor’s degree in human resources or in a related field OR documented evidence of equivalent demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilitiesProfessional certification (e.G., PHR, SPHR, SHRM CP, or SHRM SCP) preferredExperience in health care preferredSpecific Job Requirements:Must have demonstrated ability to develop and deliver appropriate training programsMust have proficient understanding of employment law regulationsMust have excellent interpersonal skillsMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionMust be knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facilityMust have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the departmentMust perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitationMaintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationMust understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance trainingEssential Functions:Must be able to provide effective human resources assistance to ED and all department supervisors in areas including but not limited to: associate relations, recruitment/retention, selection, compensation/benefits, and corrective actionMust be able to maintain personnel files, confidential/medical files, Form I 9s, and other documentation as required by law and facility policyMust be able to plan, coordinate, and conduct (or supervise) all in servicesMust be able to conduct facility orientation for all new associatesMust be able to effectively manage and operate within budgetMust exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patientsMust be able to assist in the evacuation of patientsMust demonstrate dependable, regular attendanceMust be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgmentMust be able to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary teamMust be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hoursMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageAn Equal Opportunity Employer
