Our client, a major financial services firm, is looking to hire an Compliance Specialist to join their team in Sandy, Utah!This starts as an initial 12 month contract with an opportunity to extend full time employment at any timeOur client is looking for a current or recent college graduate who has in interest in Financial Security. Our clients Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), within Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC), provides end-to-end support and oversight of global financial crimes investigations. In conjunction with GFCC partners, the FIU develops and implements automated transaction monitoring rules, reports, and other processes designed to identify activity potentially indicative of criminal behavior. The FIU also investigates potentially suspicious financial activity and, when appropriate, files suspicious activity reports (SARs) with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), which is part of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and/or refers matters to internal compliance partners for review and reporting globally.ResponsibilitiesConduct Sanctions and Politically Exposed Persons screening in Bridger, the enterprise screening toolPerform enhanced due diligence researchCollaborate with lines of business and market compliance teamsQualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred. Criminal Justice major preferred, not requiredKeen attention to detail in investigation, analysis, and documentationProven analytical and problem-solving skillsComputer and internet research skillsEffective communication and excellent writing skillsAbility to manage multiple and varied projects simultaneouslyApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future
