Position Overview : Reporting directly to the President & Managing Director, theDirector of Human Resources is responsible for leading the efficient administration and management of the Human Resources function for the OHM Collection acting as brand ambassador and company culture advocate. Position Summary: Work with President & Managing Director to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit the company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees.Partner with the leadership team to formulate, develop and implement HR and Talent Management strategies to achieve the organizations vision and goals.Oversee recruitment efforts to ensure the organization is effectively and efficiently sourcing and selecting the right candidates.Identify ways to increase staff retention and productivity, including strategies to enhance employee engagement, leadership and staff development, promoting an organizational culture that positions OHM Collection as an “ employer of choice”.Lead the effective and efficient administration of the performance management process, making sure that the company’s managers are equipped to engage in constructive and ongoing feedback and coaching.Mitigate legal risk to the company through proactive training and education, clear systems and processes for managing conflicts with and between employees, handling and investigating complaints in a timely and effect manner.Oversee the immigration process for J1 and H2B hires with the Talent Acquisition Manager.Continually educate employees on company policies (including sexual harassment, standards of conduct etc.)and ensure the employee handbook remains current.Ensure the efficient administration of benefits, health plans, retirement plans, etc.Promote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up and sharing ideas /concerns/suggestions.Direct the HR team ensuring they are assigned and carry out duties in timely and ethical manner.Maintain current knowledge and application ofall relevant laws and regulations at the local, state and national level, relating to employment and organizational compliance. Ensure that employee files and records are properly and securely maintained.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications :7+ years of Human Resources Management experience. 5+ years of luxury hotel experience, preferably in a resort.Comfortable working in a highly visible role.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Honest, ethical, and dependable.Attentive listener; understanding, empathetic, and personable. Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, or relevant experience, HRCI and /or SHRM Certification is preferred.Highly computer literate in Microsoft Suite and various HR software programs including HRIS.Fluency in both oral and written English required.A proven leader with strong interpersonal skills, keen to motivate and effectively educate and connect department managers and employees regarding all HR matters.
