This is a Full-time position in Norfolk, VA posted October 20, 2020.

To coordinate the recruitment of instructional, administrative, and professional faculty for the University.

To coordinate the appointment process for adjunct faculty.

Manage the university recruitment budget.

Manage the reimbursement of moving expenses for newly hired faculty and administrators.

Coordinate the annual salary increment process for faculty within Academic Affairs.

Process notices of appointment for all faculty.

Provide planning information to senior University administrators.Required Qualifications: Knowledge of academic recruiting sources including regional and national newspapers, internet recruiting sources, scientific and engineering publications, health care publications and academic journals.

Knowledge of affirmative action policies and procedures.

Knowledge of broad-based human resource policies and procedures.

Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills.

Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong writing skills are required.

Demonstrated ability to use and maintain database files, word processing and spreadsheet documents.

Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Demonstrated ability to solve procedural problems related to advertising and recruitment.

Demonstrated ability to conduct a well-organized and efficient salary increment process and complete all time sensitive tasks on schedule.Considerable experience in coordinating the recruitment and selection of position.

Experience writing and revising recruitment advertising.

Considerable experience in the maintenance of computer databases, spreadsheets, and other computer software.

Budget management and procurement experience.Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of University Banner system.

Some knowledge of moving company requirements and practices.

Advanced knowledge of Word, Access and Excel.

Knowledge of Commonwealth of Virginia human resource policies.

Knowledge of higher education budgeting.

Knowledge of the organizational structure of the University and the policies and procedures affecting faculty and administrators.

Skill in developing and maintaining web pages.

Bachelor’s degree with specific training in administration the use of computerized administrative systems.
