The Payroll Analyst/Sr. Analyst is a member of a team that is responsible for the U.S. multi-state payroll processing for approximately 8,000 employees. The individual in this role is responsible for auditing all data entry into the payroll system including all multi-state wage reporting requirements, administrating the mobility process as it relates to wages, as well as developing and monitoring tasks necessary to accomplish the payroll processing objectives.
This individual will ensure all transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with BCG policies and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal statutory regulations. This individual will provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers and governmental agencies.
Audit all payroll – input prior to payroll acceptance and output post-payroll acceptance – while maintaining separation of duties for compliance and audit controls
Oversee all policies and practices related to mobility for ex-patriate and in-patriate employees on the US Payroll which includes:
Ensure Certificate of Coverage applications are processed
Ensure Hypothetical taxes are withheld as needed
Ensure all year-end tax entries are recorded on W2’s
Ensure all taxable benefits are recorded on W2’s (relocation, COLA, tax prep etc)
Ensure foreign exchange rate usage and adjustments for employees paid in non-US currencies are trued up at year end
Oversee accurate intercompany invoicing, reconciliation and journal entries
Assume audit responsibility for all established policies and practices related to multi-state payroll reporting and taxation:
Review and recalculate employee’s wages/taxes corrections as presented by payroll team for audit
Participate in team review and adjust employee work state wages at year end to ensure correct wages are reported for W-2 purposes
Audit to ensure all monthly employees are set up correctly for multi state purposes
Provide excellent customer service by responding to employee and leadership inquiries on payroll issues in a timely manner
Act as primary backup for payroll specialist
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned or required
Associates degree in a business related field or equivalent experience
5+ years Payroll experience ideal
Experience with 3rd party payroll service (Ceridian, ADP, etc.) including report writing tools, ADP Enterprise is a plus??????
The level of this role can be Analyst or Sr. Analyst depending on experience and qualifications
